Gateshead Football Club is delighted to confirm the appointment of Dale Walker as Goalkeeping Coach.
Walker joins the coaching staff at Gateshead International Stadium after spending almost five years as a coach with Morpeth Town, following on from playing roles at Aldershot Town and Newcastle United as well as a host of non-league clubs in the North East.
Walker will take on a dual role within the club, working alongside the first team goalkeepers while also guiding young goalkeepers in the latter stages of the Gateshead FC Academy system at Gateshead College.
“I’m really privileged to be asked to take the role of goalkeeping coach here,” he said.
“The first thing that has hit me straight away is the culture of this football club. I’d heard a lot about it beforehand, but it hits you immediately and spreads through to the players as well.
“The manager drives a high standard, you feel it and I find that inspiring as a coach.
“The staff and the players have really welcomed me with open arms, so here’s to a good future with Gateshead Football Club.”
Welcome to Tyneside, Dale!
