Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of forward David Eguaibor on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old joins The Heed after departing Scottish League One side Cove Rangers earlier this summer, with whom he made 42 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign after joining from Irish side Cobh Ramblers, scoring 11 goals in his first season in full-time football.
The Irish-Nigerian forward joins Gateshead for his first season in English football after ending his stint in Scotland in June 2026, and will wear shirt number 27 in Lee Cattermole’s squad.
“I couldn’t wait to get in,” said Eguaibor.
“When I went to Scotland, I learned a lot. I learned fast as well, and hopefully I can bring that here, score goals and get regular game time as well. I can’t wait to get started – I just want to come in, score goals and work hard.”
Welcome to Gateshead, David!
Subject to international clearance.
