Keaton Ward has joined Enterprise National League side Barrow in a permanent transfer.
The midfielder heads to Cumbria after spending the past eight months on Tyneside, having arrived at Gateshead International Stadium from Altrincham in a deal until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Ward played a highly influential role in Gateshead’s remarkable escape from relegation during the latter half of the 2025/26 season, scoring five goals and recording six assists in 18 appearances on the right flank, with his goal at home to Braintree Town voted the club’s Goal of the Season.
