
Cedwyn Scott, Greg Olley, Macaulay Langstaff and Mike Williamson have been recognised in the Vanarama National League North’s End of Season Awards.
Following a season in which Gateshead lifted the National League North trophy after being ranked as 20/1 outsiders, the quartet have been recognised in the Team of the Season, Manager of the Season and Player of the Season categories with awards voted for by players of all teams across the division.
Langstaff, Olley and Scott have been named as part of the National League North’s Team of the Season having amassed 58 league goals between themselves on the way to winning the club’s first title since 1986 and promotion to the National League.
Langstaff’s 28 league goal haul saw him end the campaign as top scorer and lift the division’s Golden Boot award, while also earning the Player of the Season accolade having been voted so by other players across the National League North.
Williamson’s third season at the helm as player-manager saw him make 22 appearances as well as leading his side from the touchline and boasting a 69% win rate in league competition as Gateshead went on to amass 94 points and score 99 goals in the National League North.
