Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Cheltenham Town defender Ibrahim Bakare until January 9, 2026.
The centre-back joins on temporary terms to bolster Alun Armstrong’s defensive options, with Bakare having made 35 appearances for Cheltenham Town across all competitions during the 2024/25 season after joining The Robins in the summer of 2024.
The 23-year-old turned out for Canadian Championship side Vancouver FC in 2023, having previously appeared in the National League North and South for Kettering Town and Weymouth respectively during the 2022/23 season.
Bakare is eligible for inclusion in the match day squad from our Emirates FA Cup fourth round qualifying tie at Aveley.
