Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Crawley Town midfielder Jack Roles until the end of the 2024/25 season.

The 25-year-old arrives on Tyneside for the remainder of the current campaign having made 21 appearances across all competitions for The Red Devils this season, after playing 32 times in League Two for the club last season as they earned promotion to League One via the play-off final.

The central midfielder has racked up 80 Football League appearances in total across spells with Crawley, Cambridge United and Burton Albion, and has also plied his trade in the National League with Woking during the 2021/22 and 2022/23 campaigns.

“I’m delighted!” said Roles.

“I’ve known a few boys here and a few boys who have been here before, so I spoke to a lot of people and everyone has just had positive things to say.

“I had countless conversations with Rob [Elliot] and he said how good it is here and how similar it is [to Crawley], and I was just like, it’s the perfect opportunity for me.”

Welcome to Gateshead, Rolesy!
