Gateshead FC can confirm that Joe Grayson has left the club following the expiration of his contract.

The defender departs after spending the past three seasons on Tyneside, making a total of 63 appearances while scoring one goal and recording six assists. Grayson became a key member of the squad after joining in the summer of 2023, playing 32 games across all competitions as Gateshead finished sixth in the Enterprise National League, as well as starting at Wembley Stadium as The Heed made history by lifting the Isuzu FA Trophy for the first time in May 2024.

Grayson’s appearances over the past two seasons were limited through injury, though he played a role in Gateshead’s great escape at the end of the 2025/26 season as The Heed survived in the National League against all odds.

All at Gateshead FC would like to thank Joe for his contributions during his three years with the club, and wish him the best of luck for the future.
