Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Kamil Conteh.
The midfielder arrives at Gateshead International Stadium on loan from EFL Championship side Middlesbrough until January 2, 2023.
Conteh joined Watford in 2018 before signing his first professional contract at Vicarage Road in July 2021, going to make his first team debut in January 2022 in an Emirates FA Cup third round tie against Leicester City.
The Sierra Leone international joined Vanarama National League South outfit Braintree Town on loan in February 2022, making 10 appearances and scoring one goal during a one-month spell at Cressing Road.
The 20-year-old made the move to Middlesbrough in May 2022 and has made five appearances in the Premier League 2 this season.
“Rob [Elliot] has been on me for a long time you know!,” said Conteh.
“He’s been telling me about Gateshead, even when we were at Watford. To finally get it done, I can’t wait to start and help the team progress.”
