We are delighted to confirm the loan signing of Kieron Evans for the remainder of the season, subject to international clearance.
The attacking midfielder arrives from Championship side Cardiff City on a temporary basis until the end of the 2023/24 campaign having made four first team appearances for The Bluebirds this season, playing three times in the Carabao Cup and once in the Emirates FA Cup, and recording one assist against Birmingham City in the former.
Evans spent the 2022/23 season on loan in the National League with Torquay United, playing 36 times and scoring twice, including an equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Gateshead International Stadium in March.
“I’ve watched through the games, and [Gateshead] dictate the games and play through the thirds,” said Evans.
“When I’ve spoken to Rob, that’s literally my game to a tee, so it was a no-brainer when I got the call off him and I just wanted to get it done as soon as possible really.”
