Gateshead FC Ladies are delighted to confirm the signings of Libby West and Lyndsey Garthwaite.
The duo both return to the club ahead of the second half of the North East Regional Womens Football League season, with Carl Morrison & Hugo Djassi’s side currently sitting ninth in the league table having played the fewest games in the division.
West returns for her second stint as a Gateshead Ladies player having played a key role in the club’s promotion from Durham FA Women’s League One last season, making 23 appearances and recording six assists from midfield.
Garthwaite returns having played an integral part in both of the club’s previous promotion seasons, first lifting the Durham FA Women’s Development League title in 2021 before scoring five goals in 21 appearances from defence last season on the way to a second-placed finish.
The pair are eligible for selection immediately and can be included in the squad to face West Allotment Celtic Ladies at Gateshead International Stadium (4G) on Sunday, January 15 (2pm kick off).
