Saturday’s fixture against Leamington will see schools and grassroots girls teams visit Gateshead International Stadium for the first time.
To continue strengthening our existing ties within the local community, we are inviting schools and grassroots girls teams in the area to take in the match day experience on Tyneside as Mike Williamson’s men look to remain top of the league table against The Brakes.
The club has been working alongside local schools since the beginning of the 2021/22 season to involve the next generation at Gateshead International Stadium, and promote inclusivity for all within the game.
“We are delighted to have a number of local schools attending Saturday’s game against Leamington,” said Communications & Marketing Development Officer, James Rushmore.
“We want the match day experience at Gateshead International Stadium to be an enjoyable one for people of all ages and from all backgrounds, and we are greatly encouraged by the number of schools who have been eager to get involved with the club this season.”
“Our start to the season has been a successful one on the pitch and we look forward to welcoming new faces to the stands for another exciting 90 minutes of football this weekend.”
The club is always keen to form new connections with schools in the local area, so if you are a teacher and are interested in working alongside us, contact James via email at james.rushmore@gateshead-fc.com
