Gateshead FC is delighted to announce the signing of Owen Oseni on a two-year deal.

The forward arrives on Tyneside following a highly impactful loan spell with Vanarama National League North side Rushall Olympic during the second half of the 2023/24 season, during which he scored eight goals and recorded one assist in 15 games.

Oseni joined The Pics whilst on the books with Derby County last season, scoring one goal in four Premier League 2 appearances for The Rams during their most recent campaign.

The 21-year-old called time on a two-year association with Derby following the end of the 2023/24 season, and now arrives at Gateshead International Stadium to become Rob Elliot’s first signing as permanent Gateshead manager.

“I’m very pleased to be here – it’s taken a while but I’m glad to do it now!” said Oseni.

“When I spoke to Rob, he said they’d been watching me for a while and his plans aligned with my plans, so it was a no brainer to come here.

“I spoke to Daj [Dajaune Brown] and asked him a few things about the club and he said very good things, he’s told me everything I need to know.

“Now it’s time for me to add my game and just push on.”
