Martin signed a two-year deal on Tyneside in July 2022 following his release from Harrogate Town.
The imposing forward scored three goals in 29 appearances for the club during the 2022/23 season, and also appeared at Wembley Stadium for the second time in his career in the 2023 FA Trophy final.
