The forward penned a deal on Tyneside until the end of the 2021/22 season in May 2021.
Campbell originally joined the club on loan from Newcastle United in January 2015, scoring three goals in eight National League appearances.
Campbell’s relentless work ethic and flair for spectacular goals endeared him to Gateshead supporters during the 2021/22 season as he scored 14 goals and recorded 12 assists in the National League North title-winning campaign.
The forward committed his future to the club in April 2022 by signing a contract extension until the summer of 2024, before earning the club’s Golden Boot award with a 15-goal haul across 52 appearances during the 2022/23 season in addition to two Player of the Month awards.
