Elliott joined in December on loan until the end of the season from fellow Vanarama National League side Boreham Wood, whom he joined in the summer.
Elliott spent a hugely successful 2021/22 campaign with National League North play-off finalists Boston United, scoring 31 goals in all competitions as well as being named The Pilgrims’ Fans’ Player and Players’ Player of the Season.
The forward went on to score six goals in nine appearances on Tyneside, earning the club’s December Player of the Month award in the process.
