Academy striker Eddie Thomas made the step up to the first team for the first time in a competitive fixture in January 2022 when he was included on the bench in a 4-2 win at Bradford (Park Avenue).
Thomas played a part in the club’s pre-season schedule ahead of the 2021/22 season, scoring against Dunston UTS and Billingham Town, and is also plies his trade for Northern League Division One side Crook Town on a dual-registration basis.
Thomas signed a one-year professional contract ahead of the 2022/23 National League season.
