Midfielder
Charters joined the club on an initial one-month loan in January 2022, which was later extended until the end of the 2021/22 season.
He made 38 appearances for parent club Carlisle after signing a professional contract in August 2019 and scored his first senior goal in an EFL Trophy win over Hartlepool United in August 2021.
Deployed at either central midfield or left back, Charters made 22 appearances and scored four goals on the way to lifting the National League North title with Gateshead.
