Manager
Elliot wrote his name into Gateshead folklore by lifting the Isuzu FA Trophy as interim manager for the first time in club history in May 2024.
The ex-Newcastle United goalkeeper originally joined the club as its first-ever Technical Director in August 2022, though his involvement with the club stretches back to October 2020, when he trained with the first team following nine years with The Magpies.
He then continued to assist Mike Williamson’s coaching staff on a regular basis throughout the 2021/22 season while on the books with then-Premier League side Watford, who he departed at the end of the campaign.
Elliot was named as the club’s interim manager in October 2023, following the departures of Mike Williamson, Ian Watson and Chris Bell, and achieved a sixth-placed finish in the National League before lifting the Isuzu FA Trophy at Wembley Stadium.
He was then named as Gateshead’s permanent manager in June 2024, alongside assistant manager Louis Storey.
