Gateshead FC Soul and Gateshead FC Foundation are holding a Public Donor Registration event at Gateshead International Stadium in aid of DKMS.

Recently, a match was found for six-year-old Gateshead Redheugh player Leland, who was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) in September and was advised that he needed a bone marrow transplant before the end of the year.

Supporters can register to become a donor and help those still searching for a match at Gateshead International Stadium on Saturday, December 3 prior to our Vanarama National League fixture against Aldershot Town (12:30pm kick off).

It takes a few minutes to register and complete the test in the form of a cheek swab. Donors must be aged between 17-55 and be in good health.

For more information on the process, or to sign up if you can’t attend on the day, please visit the DKMS website here.
