Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Quévin Castro.
The creative midfielder joins on loan from EFL Championship side West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season, having recently returned from a four-month spell at Notts County.
The 21-year-old made four starts across 14 appearances for The Magpies in the Vanarama National League and scored four goals for Luke Williams’ side, before opting against a loan extension at Meadow Lane in search of regular football.
Prior to joining Notts, Castro made five appearances during a brief loan stint with EFL League One side Burton Albion, and also made two substitute appearances in the Championship for West Brom during the second half of the 2021/22 season.
“I’ve been welcomed very well by the team, the staff and the manager,” said Castro.
“It’s a great vibe & a humble hard-working team, so I’m very delighted to get started.
“[I want] to be able to help the team going forward, give what I can to the team in terms of my attacking ability and try to score as many goals as I can.”
