Retained list confirmed following conclusion of 2022/23 season

Gateshead Football Club can now confirm its list of released and retained first team players following the conclusion of the 2022/23 season.

The club would like to thank all players departing for their roles in a memorable first season back in the Vanarama National League, culminating in securing fifth tier football for the 2023/24 season as well as reaching the Isuzu FA Trophy final for the first time in the club’s history.

The club wishes to place on record its sincere thanks to Dan and Owen for playing a pivotal role in our success over recent years, with both an integral part of lifting the National League North title in May 2022 and reaching the club’s first-ever FA Trophy final in May 2023.

Dan made 96 appearances for the club after arriving in October 2020 and became known for his tireless work ethic and adaptability as either a midfielder or forward, while Owen joined in July 2021 and went on to play 89 times as well as acting as vice-captain during the 2022/23 season.

All at the club would like to thank Dan and Owen for their contributions as Gateshead players, and wish them the best of luck for the future.
