Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the permanent appointments of Rob Elliot and Louis Storey as the club’s manager and assistant manager.

Elliot and Storey have both put pen to paper on permanent contracts at Gateshead International Stadium following a highly successful end to the 2023/24 season under their interim tenure.

The duo made history by lifting Gateshead’s first-ever Isuzu FA Trophy at Wembley Stadium in May, shortly after securing the club’s highest league finish in 10 years by ending the Vanarama National League campaign in sixth place.

Elliot and Storey oversaw 21 wins from 38 games in all competitions during their interim tenure, with a free-flowing Gateshead scoring 73 goals across the last seven months of the 2023/24 season.

“We’re delighted to finally banish the interim tag for Rob and Louis,” said club chairman, Neil Pinkerton.

“It was always our intention to sit down at the end of the season and agree terms, which we have now successfully concluded.

“Rob, Louis and the entire team have been relentless in the off-season, so rest assured that we’re very well placed in terms of our on and off field recruitment plans.”
