Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Ryan Carr from Ipswich Town.
The right-sided midfielder joins on temporary terms until January 5, 2025, linking up with The Heed ahead of our next Vanarama National League fixture at home to Barnet on Saturday, September 7 (3pm kick off).
The 19-year-old spent the final two months of the 2023/24 season on loan with Vanarama National League South side Aveley, appearing 11 times for The Millers as they reached the play-off quarter-final.
“I’m buzzing to be here to be fair,” said Carr.
“It’s one that has been trying to get sorted for a while now – I’ve watched quite a lot of Gateshead anyway.
“I had good conversations with Rob [Elliot], and I know Louis [Storey] from being at Newcastle when I was younger.
“I think it’s the next step I need to go in my career.”
