Keeping the wheels turning with Gateshead FC sponsor FUCHS.
Gateshead Football Club is delighted to be partnered with manufacturing lubricant kingpin, FUCHS.
FUCHS is the largest independent lubricant manufacturer in the world. That’s right, in the world. As such, we’re thrilled to have their support on the pitch.
Founded in 1931 by Rudolph Fuchs in Mannheim, Germany, the lubricant manufacturer has been proudly producing industry-leading industrial and specialist oils and greases for over nine decades. Operating within the UK from its base in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, FUCHS UK continues to endeavour to provide first-class industry standards across the country.
During the late 90s, the brand became the UK’s first lubricant company to achieve quality standard QS9000 and in 2005, the business acquired the Ovoline Lubricants business from Brett Oils Ltd, a business based in Gateshead – hence the North East connection.
From automotive and industrial lubricants to metal processing and special application lubricants, the lubricant manufacturer is committed to providing increased efficiency in manufacturing and improving the lubricant management process for businesses.
The company currently has over 10,000 products in production. The brand has provided high-performance lubricants for the steel and mining industry, arctic environments, wind turbines, rail transport and a number of specialist industrial applications. Unsurprisingly, with 58 companies and over 5,700 employees the world over, FUCHS comfortably sustains its title as a world leader in independent lubricant manufacturing and pledges itself to provide “technology that pays back”.
To have secured sponsorship from such an established, global brand is tremendously exciting for Gateshead FC. Having supported the club for a number of seasons, FUCHS became an official club partner during the 2021/2022 season.
Richard Halhead, CEO of FUCHS UK, commented “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Gateshead FC as our business continues to grow from strength to strength in the North East.”
