Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm that Joe Grayson has extended his contract with the club until 2026.
The central defender has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal on Tyneside, committing to The Heed after becoming an integral part of Rob Elliot’s side across the 2023/24 season.
The 25-year-old made 32 appearances in black and white after joining the club in August 2023, keeping 10 clean sheets as a key part of the back-line as Gateshead finished the Vanarama National League campaign in sixth place before lifting the Isuzu FA Trophy for the first time in club history at Wembley Stadium in May.

“The club gave me a chance last summer when I was low on confidence,” said Grayson.
“It was such a good year and brought so much out of me that I didn’t want to jump at the chance to move somewhere else when I could continue that.
“We’ve got to be switched on because it’s not going to be easy to finish in the top seven, but we’re excited.”
