Mills joined the club in September on loan from EFL Championship side Hull City until January 8, 2023.
The centre back has been on the books with the Tigers since under-13 level and signed his first professional contract with the club in October 2021, before making his first team debut one month later as a late substitute away to Cardiff City.
Mills then spent the latter half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Scottish League One side Falkirk, for whom he went on to make six appearances.
