Regan Booty has been voted as our Supporters’ Player of the Month for August 2024!
The midfielder has appeared in every minute of Gateshead’s six games so far, recording five assists to take the Heed to the top of the Vanarama National League table at the end of the opening month of the season.
“The position I play is probably not one you get a lot of recognition for in the game these days,” said Booty.
“It’s probably a role where you go under the radar a little bit at times, so to get that recognition is nice.
“Your fans turn up week in, week out at home, and then we always say we see the same faces away from home and we appreciate that so much, so to get the award from the fans in the first month is something I’m happy with.
“I’m not just going to settle and rest on the fact that I’ve won Player of the Month for the first month, we’ve got to kick on now.
“The gaffer said that our challenge now is that we’ve got to the top of the National League for the first time with this football club, and the next challenge is to make sure that we stay there.”
